My daughter is learning to sew. She chose a simple topper over blinds for a first project. I have a new serger which she enjoyed using.
Here, she is doing the finishing touches with her sewing machine. This is just a small section of the little one over the sink. They turned out nice, and they make a huge difference in her kitchen.
Ooo- don't you love your Babylock? Courtney of ClickItUpANotch and I had a memorable adventure to go pick mine up several years ago :) The valance looks great!
ReplyDeleteHow fun teaching her! Great moments to remember..
ReplyDeleteHow great, I loved that my mom taught me to sew and a serger, I'm a little jealous!! ;)
ReplyDeleteHow fun!!! Love the valance! I just may need to do this now ;)
ReplyDeleteI like the fabric! I can't wait to get my hands on a sewing machine again.
ReplyDeleteI wish I could sew but I don't have the patience. Your daughter is beautiful and I love that you're able to do this together. There is just something about a skill being passed down from one generation to another that is so special.
ReplyDeleteThey look awesome- I love the fabric choice!
ReplyDeleteIsn't the serger the greatest- my mom and I each have one so we can keep one threaded in black and one in white, so we never have to re-thread a machine.
Her curtains do look really cute- I told her that when I had my massage. She is so talented.
ReplyDeleteVery nice. Such a skill. Love the fabric too!
ReplyDeleteI just LOVE looking at your photos! Such adorable subjects!
