September 26, 2010

We took a little drive up through American Fork Canyon tonight. The leaves are starting to change. There are not many places to stop the car and get out. It is mostly narrow, winding roads, with no place to pull over. There were prettier places, but no way to photograph them without walking a long ways, and I can't do that while I am recoperating from foot surgery. I thought that the light was too harsh here, but when I pulled it up on the computer, I ended up liking the flareI wished that I could have caught this mountainside with a wider angel lens, but the light was nearly gone and all I could work with was the 50mm. It was actually much prettier than this photo portrays.

  1. I love the flair in the first one, it is very heavenly. I am super jealous! That is one of my absolute favorite places to be in the fall. The colors are just amazing up there.

  2. The colors are beautiful even if photos don't give you what the eye can see naturally. I can imagine the exquisite colors there.
