Birthday Flowers

My husband bought this beautiful plant for me. There is no tag on it, so I do not know what it is. It stands about 18" tall. He also gave me my favorite candy (From Germany)
and two photography books. I can 't wait to dive into those.

When I was 16 years old, I started giving my mother flowers on my birthday. The past four years now, I have had to take them to the cemetary. Given the time of year, they are silk, but I picked some of her favorite ones. Lilacs, tulips, and roses. I might seem silly to some, but it makes me feel good to do this. It was raining softly when I took both of these photos.
