Here I have four pictures from the last two days of the "Western Nationals" clogging competition at the "Lagoon Amusement park" in Farmington Utah. It is a beautiful park... the gardens are gorgeous and the rides are very good too. So, I was shutter happy! I have lots of competition pics and fun ones of my granddaughters playing while their mommy was competing. I have great action shots you will not want to miss.....but here are a few of my faves of emotional moments in the park and on the stage.
Here is Rory watching her mommy dance. That is her mom's kiss on her little cheek
This is my daughter, Becky, competing her "short duet" with her dance partner of many years. They literally grew up together on the dance floor and they won countless awards, including 2 coveted MVP awards on a national level for their show duets. They have both had a several year break from dance. Marriage....2 kids for Becky....so when they started dancing again in November, I was thrilled. They LOVE it...and I think it shows on their faces. I am a strong believer that women ought to DO what they LOVE! The practices are after the kids are in bed....and it is great exercise and time with friends.
Last night, Saturday, Rory was totally worn out from going on rides and spending the day with her fraternal Grandpa. Can you see the resemblance? She looks like her daddy, and her grandpa. She absolutely adores him, and he adores her, and he makes her a priority, and spends time with her. She didn't see me. She just laid her head down on his head while they were waiting in line for a ride. I LOVE this one.
I was so proud of my daughter last night. She danced off for two top awards. One in Acappella solo and the other in Acappella Duet. She and her duet parter took the MVP for duet! This is Becky's fourth MVP! Conner actually won the MVP for solo. We were so proud of him as well! I believe you can see the joy on their faces. These pics are for Fri and Sat. later tonight, I will post some "action" shots, for my Sunday post.
Fantastic, congrats to them.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet picture of Rory and Grandpa!
Go Becky! You are an MVP! I am so proud of her for still doing what she loves and never loosing it even if new things are happening in her life- it just makes it all- all the more enjoyable!
