Photos can be so deceiving. It looks like a beautiful Spring day...NOT! This storm today is putting down 18 inches of snow in those mountains. The wind is icy...temps in the 30's, and we have had snow flurries all day......nothing accumulating in the valley, but the past few days we have had wind that has taken large trees out by the roots, and done a fair amount of damage all around. The scenery around me is beautiful...this is basically what I see every day in all directions. These trees with the white blossoms are everywhere, along with the green Globe Willows. Tulips and Daffolils are finally up and brightening the landscape...There is a 200 inch snow base in the mountains and they expect there will still be 100 ins on Memorial Day which will be the last day of skiing. The sandbaggers are out in full force...that is a LOT of water to come down! So it is a mixed blessing when we finally DO get consistent warm days.
Oh wow, what a gorgeous view. Hope the weather improves for you soon though!
