Here are two photos from a few days ago when I was playing with my 85mm lens. This one of Rory was in light from the front door. I realize her left eye is a bit OOF, but I still love it.
This one was outside......I love the detail across his eyes which is the only area that is sharp, because of the narrow DOF I purposly chose. I'm sad that Oscar is getting old and gray. I am hoping to soon be able to hold my SLR, so I can take new photos. I cannot look down, so the ones I managed to get on the PS are so bad (and boring), I was embarrased to post. I feel OK about bending the rules for a few days while I recover.
Rory is gorgeous and what a sweet puppy. Hope you start to feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteI was worried about doing this project until I read Shannon Joy's article about doing a 365. In it she says there are no rules other than the rules you impose upon yourself. Life is a series of changes and adjustments and what you are going through right now is part of what your life is at this moment. By making adjustments and adaptations, you're showing your flexibility and ability to be creative in the face of unexpected challenges. So make up new rules and don't feel bad or put undo pressure on yourself. You're already finding the things you want/need to share in other ways. Hugs and prayers for a speedy recovery.
ReplyDeleteAw...on both! So cute!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful portraits! Rory is so lucky to have you capturing her beauty as she grows.
ReplyDeleteBeautifully said Kristin! Great lighting on both Rory and Oscar! And I am totally in love with my 85mm too. I plan to upgrade my 50mm soon and I hope that I find that I love it as much too. I really hope you feel better soon. I know it is killing you not to be able to use your SLR.
ReplyDeleteAnd thank you for your comment. I really appreciate it! I love that the few of us that completed last year still keep in touch this year too. :)
ReplyDeleteHope you are feeling better! Love these shots!
ReplyDeleteI know why you love that picture of Rory...it's beautiful!! I think I need to put an 85mm on my wishlist :O)
ReplyDeleteI heart my 85, too! Love both pictures! It's better not to strain your injury--and of course, we totally understand!
ReplyDeleteI'm another one that LOVES my 85!!!
ReplyDeleteLove both photos, hope you have a speedy recovery!
ReplyDeleteThese are both very precious. I had injured myself about 4 years ago and know it is just no fun having pain and discomfort!! Take care!!
ReplyDeleteI love them both! Beautiful photos.. get better soon!
ReplyDeleteThank you for visiting my blog! I love the picture of Oscar!
ReplyDeleteSweet faces.
ReplyDeleteOoh, love my 85! Haven't used it much at all though, bc it's kind of hard to maneuver so far back in my house. :) Beautiful job with yours, though! And I'm so sorry to hear about your neck.. I'll have to read back a bit and see what happened!
ReplyDeletePaulette
Both of these are such cute pics! The 85 is so great for portraits. I also love my 85. I think it may be my fave lens. The 50 is a close second.
