I grew up doing a LOT of handwork. When I got married, I had a linen closet full of things I had made. I did projects for years, but gave them all away. I'm feeling like getting back to my love of stitchery lately, and this is part of a little project I started a few days ago . Two things are different....now....that magnifying glass in the upper right corner, and I have arthritis in my hands, so it is not so easy anymore. I can't stick with it for very long either, but the thrill of doing it is the same.
Yay, way to get back into it. I love homemade things, especially these days when buying things is so "easy."
ReplyDeleteNice capture! The fact that it's a bit harder for you now should make it all the more rewarding!
ReplyDeleteI love the soft colors here! What a great way to bring back a former livelihood!
ReplyDeleteThat looks pretty.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I love how you used the button for the 'o'!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photo! I know what you mean about the hand thing- I knit, but have to really pace myself to avoid problems with carpal tunnel and tendonitis. I'm glad you are giving it a try again!
ReplyDeleteSo far so good! I love that the "O" is a flower and a button. Very cute! It's an interesting photo too. I like that you included the fabric pieces and the needles. It's more than a photo, it's a story!
ReplyDeleteOh, how wonderful, Karen! I love it! It's too bad more people don't sit down with handwork any more, bc it is truly such a quiet, relaxing thing to do.
