This is the extent of my knowledge about Lightroom....I have the program installed, I bought Scott Kelby's book, and last night I signed up for "study along" in the Clickinmom's class.
It is one of, my goals to learn this in 2011. I hope it is not beyond what I can understand. "You CAN teach old dogs new tricks"... It's a positive variation on the famous quote, but I believe it.
Believing, will make it possible!

I have LR2 and love it! Seems so much easier than photoshop. You are going to discover a whole new world! :)
ReplyDeleteYou will do great... can't wait to hear what you think of it. I saw the CM class that was being offered. If I already owned LR I would definitely take it... hopefully soon! :)
ReplyDeleteOh, you will love, love, love it! Lynne is such a great teacher- you will definitely come out of the course feeling like you have a great handle on the program :)
ReplyDeleteYou can definitely do it Karren!! To answer your question, yes, I always shoot in RAW now since taking RYC 201 through Clickin' Moms. I love the flexibility shooting in RAW allows me. I learned so much from Lynne and learned everything I know about Lightroom through her in the RYC 201. You can do it!! I have so much faith in you and can't wait to see your photos!
ReplyDeleteWho is an old dog? Let me know how you like it! I have a B&H gift card burning a hole in my pocket and I can't decide if I want more gear or technology!
ReplyDeleteI believe!!!!
ReplyDeleteYou will love Lightroom if its anything like Aperture 3, which I believe it is. I love the sliders as apposed to the layers of Photoshop.
Great positive attitude. You can do it!
ReplyDeleteGO YOU! Ok now I need to sign up for that class too!!
ReplyDeleteOh bum deal I can't afford 300.00 for that, but do share some of your favorite learning!!! Enjoy your class!
ReplyDeleteShannon...it is $150. for study along which is what I am doing.
ReplyDeleteGood luck! I'm learning Photoshop right now, but I'm so glad I am!
ReplyDeleteYay! Good for you! I wish my MIL were as brave and willing as you!
ReplyDeleteI wish you the best of luck! From what I hear, it's an amazing program.
ReplyDeletePaulette
Good luck to you! We use Aperture 3 and Photoshop CS4. Both took me awhile to get the hang of. I still have a lot to learn about PS, but there is so much to use I doubt anyone has a complete grasp of it! : )
ReplyDeleteYou will LOVE Lightroom. It is super easy to learn, makes editing lots of pictures a snap, and you can have a lot of fun with presets. There are a lot of free presets out there that allow you to do some pretty creative stuff with the click of a button. Let me know if you want me to share some of my favorite free sites with you.
ReplyDeletecan't wait to see how far you go with the study along...i bought it but haven't used it!
