Last Roses of Summer

I was wondering what to photograph today, when my roses on the hearth, up against the black wood burning stove, caught my eye! I LOVE them, and will miss them. These few buds I brought in a few days ago when I cut the bushes down, before the frost. They will brighten the whole room today.
