Painting with water, and drawing with chalk

The day was so hot and light so bright that I could not even see my settings. Rory's little cheeks are just scarlet from the heat. She discovered today, that if you paint the sidewalk with water first, the chalks go on very bright! I like her shadow here, showing the details in her crown.

  1. Very good full-sun shot! Our princesses would be great pals, I'm sure!

  2. Adorable shot. I love her intensity, the way you processed it and of course the fact that even playing with chalk, she has the ever present crown on. The girl is a born princess! Thank you for my birthday wishes, and if I looked half as cute as Rory in a tiara, I would have taken and posted a picture, but as it was, I left my camera home that day and enjoyed the moment. Blessings to you my dear friend. :o)

  4. Love the tiara! My boys like to go out in a light rain or after the rain to draw with chalk.
