This picture to the left is my 28 yr old daughter, Becky, in the mountains of Pine Valley, Utah when she was three years old. My parents were the best grandparents ever. They lived for 20 years in St George, and they took the kids down there, two at a time, to vacation with them every year. They loved camping with the kids in Pine Valley. My mother made this little walking stick for Becky. Somehow, it made it's way back here when she came to live with us, and it was recently unearthed. I wanted to get a photo of Becky's daughter, Rory with the stick in Pine Valley when we went to St George for a family outing this past week, so here is that photo.
I mentioned in the earlier post that I have Shingles. It is the illness from H___ .
Not only the painful rash, but the pain inside the body and I can't even write how sick I have been, and still am. I visited the ER there, when I felt like I would just die. It is good to be home. I am resting and trying to let my body recover. I may, or may not post consistently. I had looked forward for so long to the MANY wonderful photo opportunities with family, and also the gorgeous red rock scenery, beautiful horses that are on farms there, and most of all...the Monday night show of The Little Mermaid in the Tuacahn Amphitheater there in mouth of Snow Canyon. It was amazing........however, I went back to the condo during the intermission, because I was so ill. Plus...no pictures were allowed! So, all in all, given my circumstances, photography on this little trip was almost a wash. I know that those of you who also love photography as I do, will understand how I feel about that. I should have stayed home in bed. Lesson learned.
