Day 158 My Rose bush

When my mother passed away three years ago, my in-laws gave me a beautiful potted rose bush. I planted it under the window of my mother's room here at our home. It is about tripple the size now, and loaded with buds and blossoms. I love their color. The blossoms are not uniform in color, but range from pink to coral. They remind me of the old climbing wild roses my mom had. These smell wonderful, and are about 2" across.

  1. What a wonderful gift. In your time of loss, at least you have something living and beautiful to remind you of your mother. I love that idea. Thank you for always saying just the right thing to settle my heart when I post about my Mom. I felt like I really bared my soul yesterday, but I had to and your comment and some of the others made me realize it's ok and safe to do here. You are a dear friend and I thank you for your wisdom and support.

  3. Very pretty. My grandmother loves pink roses. They were her favorite. So every time I see them I think of her.
