Day 51......The Magic Pot

This is an OLD cast iron pot that my mother cooked in all of my life. She made the most delicious things in this pot, and it has become known as "The Magic Pot". She got this shortly after my parents married in 1938, so it is about 73 years old.

Today, I made beef stew in the pot. Just like my mother used to make it.

I am glad that I thought to take her photo with it in 2008.......just a few weeks before she passed away. I have learned a few things since I took this photo. I had to laugh at the picture frame, and the shadow. Maybe I could do an edit on it now.
