Day 28 Found: Old toys

I believe that Wednesdays will from now on, officially be my treasures from the basement clean up. Today it is Jody, and a little troll and wagon. When my youngest daughter was two years old, the first Cabbage Patch dolls hit the market, just in time for Christmas. We thought that they were the ugliest things! And, at $50. per doll......well, that was crazy! It did not stop my parents from standing in a line for 6 hours waiting for a store to open so they could be a part of the mad rush to grab a doll or two. They managed to get one for each of my girls
( 2 and 14 yrs old) and, even three more, later on, for a family that was suffereing from illness ands loss of work. I don't remember how many hours total, they stood in lines to accomplish all of this.......it does however, make Jody, special.
I do not feel good today, and this is the extent of my photo taking capabilities. I didn't want to miss a day, because it is a goal to do it EVERY day this year.

  11. Feel better! I was in 4th grade when these came out. We were on every wait list and when we finally got them, we didn't get to pick. We were just handed a doll. Mine mine was orange. I have still never seen a doll the color of the one I got. I thought it was awful, cried and returned it. I never ended up getting one. :)
