Today, I picked up my check from the State Fair. It was pretty fun to have cash awards. On the other hand, it was sad to see everything coming down. The parking lot was empty and the rides were already taken down. The stages were bare, and the little booths were empty.
Exhibitors were walking out with their entry's. There were some leaves blowing along the ground as I walked to my car, and I could feel a hint of Fall in the air. The mountains are spotted with the changing colorful leaves. All of this happened during the last ten days that the fair was on. It all felt a little bit sad ..... summer came and went all too fast this year.
Whoo hoo!! What are you going to get with it??? Congrats again :O)
ReplyDeleteOoooo.... you'll have to treat yourself to something special! Fall is early this year. Of course summer never really even came here. We just went from spring to fall. :(

ReplyDeleteIf I were you I would cover up your address on the check though, but I just get nervous about that kind of stuff.
I learned my lesson when my camera was stolen- and someone had my address- freaked me out.
