August 6, 2010

I attended the Sandy Balloon Festival this morning at 6:30. It had rained just prior, but hopes were high that the storm clouds would blow over. They were going away by the time the sun broke over the mountain tops, and the balloons were inflating and the crowd was having high hopes of seeing them launch. Suddenly, a strong wind picked up and all of the balloons had to come down. The disappointed crowd went home. I hope it will be better circumstances tomorrow morning when they try to launch once again.

It was actually really nice to get outside so early and watch the sun rise over the Wasatch mountains. A beautiful sight, not to mention how fresh and clean the air was.

The bank of American Fork Piggy bank....catching a little sun flare. I am in hopes of getting something a little nicer tomorrow.
